Explore Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi in style this June with SRT’s Royal Blossom and KIHA 183 trains—offering guided tours, historic landmarks, and immersive travel experiences through Thailand’s western heartlands.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is launching two themed tourist train programs throughout June 2025, offering passengers scenic and cultural travel experiences in Western and Central Thailand. Tickets for the Royal Blossom and KIHA 183 trains will be available from May 28 at stations nationwide and through SRT’s D-Ticket platform.

The Royal Blossom program runs on weekends and features day trips from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi province. Passengers will travel along the historic Death Railway, passing landmarks such as the Bridge over the River Kwai and Krasae Cave, before visiting Mallika City, a living museum that recreates daily life in early 20th-century Siam. The journey includes meals, guided tours, and air-conditioned transport.

The KIHA 183 train, styled after Japanese rolling stock, offers two overnight trips. The first, scheduled for June 14 to 15, visits Ratchaburi and includes stops at Khao Ngu Stone Park, local caves with cultural ties, a vintage sheep farm, and the riverside Ophoiy Market. The tour concludes with a visit to a natural hot spring and a forest café.

The second KIHA 183 itinerary, on June 28 and 29, returns to Kanchanaburi. The trip features a blend of history and relaxation, with stops at the River Kwai Bridge, a musical performance onboard, bamboo rafting on the Khwae River, and a visit to a World War II-era cave used by prisoners of war. Both KIHA 183 tours include meals, lodging, and full travel support.

Full details and booking options are available on the railway’s official website at www.railway.co.th and various social media channels. (NNT)
