Thailand to take on Russia at charity boxing event

Russian Muaythai boxers will face off against their Thai counterparts in a charity boxing competition being staged to raise funds for the victims of last year’s devastating floods.

The contest will be held on June 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Pattaya Boxing World, a new state of the art boxing venue located next to Mini Siam in north Pattaya.

Ooros Saengthong, the CEO of Pattaya Boxing World, said at a recent press conference, “I am delighted to be a part of this fund raising opportunity to help victims of the flood and also importantly to help the Muaythai art be broadcast to foreigners’ eyes.

A total of five bouts will be on the fight card featuring top Thai and Russian boxers.  The event is scheduled to be shown on NBT TV.
