Thawit Chaisawangwong re-elected as chairman of the city council
Governor officially presents Mayor Niran and his deputies with the insignia of office
Pisit
Khetphasook, governor of Chonburi Province presided over the first meeting of
the newly elected Pattaya mayor and his city councilors on Monday June 14.
Subsequently, Thawit Chaisawangwong, a veteran of Pattaya
politics was re-elected as chairman of the city council. Adisorn Pol-lookin and
Ukrit Nansurasak were elected as the two deputy chairmen of the city council.

The Royal Cliff Beach Resort’s MD, Panga Vathanakul,
accepted the Ultimate Service Award for Asia 2004, given by CNN and its
associates for service excellence. Dr. Anthony Sharma, the advisor to the
minister for industry and who is also the MD of Thai Representation
presented the award on behalf of the CNN group.

Ramli takes second win as local favourite denied victory
Rounds 4 & 5 Porsche Infineon Carrera Cup Asia at Bira Circuit

Crest Jaseri Racing’s Rizal Ramli took the top podium
spot on Sunday in Round 5 of the Porsche Infineon Carrera Cup Asia, denying
local favourite Charoensukhawatana Nattavude of Fuspeed Racing victory on
home turf. The action went all the way down to the final few feet of the
20-lap race, and provided some of the best racing the series has seen so
far.
