Hotel lift plummets from 3rd floor
Close call for 17 tourists

The lift at Pattaya Park Beach Resort was boarded up after an accident last week, and a sign was placed on the front announcing the hotel’s apologies for any inconvenience.

Seventeen tourists, 12 Thai and 5 foreigners, escaped major injury when the maximum capacity overload system malfunctioned in an elevator at the Pattaya Park Beach Resort.

83-year-old Mrs. Siang Pho-Iang suffered a broken leg and a young boy was treated for a scalp injury caused by shattered glass.
