PPWF is holding a Christmas meeting on December 11th at Au Bon Coin French Restaurant in Soi 5. Husbands & friends can join. Starts at 7:30 p.m. Everybody who joins, please bring a present worth 200 baht.

“Santa Claus is coming to town” - or better to the PILC Christmas Luncheon on December 7th at 10:30 a.m. at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort. International selection of Christmas treats, and the ISR choir will entertain with Christmas carols. PILC members: don’t forget to bring your 2 hand-decorated Christmas hangers along and a little present for the children of the Fountain of Life, each parcel marked if it is for a boy or a girl. Die Zugvoegel’s Christmas Lunch Meeting is at the Moon River Pub on Thursday, December 16th, starting at 12:00 p.m. A 4-course set menu is being prepared. Xmas carol singing. No gift exchanging, but donations for their charity project can be made.

Events

The Royal Garden Resort is celebrating the 72nd birthday of His Majesty the King on December 5th with a Jazz Night. Welcome drinks served at 6:00 p.m. The grand dinner buffet at Rim Nam is at 7:30 p.m.; 8:00 p.m. is a solemn candlelight celebration, followed by a concert by the East Coast Jazz Band, who will also play His Majesty’s compositions. Tuesday, December 7th and Wednesday, December 8th, beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Middle School Production SMIKE, a musical setting of Nicholas Nicholby, will be performed in an open-air quadrangle at the International School Eastern Seaboard. For more information call 372591-4.

A pre-Christmas Party for the Street Children will be held at the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital on Saturday, December 11th from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Presiding over this event will be Sopin Thappajug. Santa Claus and his helpers will also be there to give the children presents and the Seaboard Sound & Friends will be entertaining all party guests. The Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital has so far collected 40 scholarships for all 40 children of the Street Kid’s Home, along with donations of food items, sporting equipment and other necessities for the home. The Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital is accepting more donations at the International Department.

Happy Family Hour every Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at BJ’s Restaurant on the corner of Beach Road/Sri Nakorn Center. These special events are held to further the cause of harmony, understanding and charity!
