Bangkok Airways to suspend 4 destinations

Bangkok Airways recently announced it would suspend services to Ho Chi Minh City, Xian, Guilin and Hiroshima by the end of October 2009 to accommodate itself to the market situations.
The suspension of service to Ho Chi Minh City and Xian will be effective on October 25, 2009, while Hiroshima and Guilin will be on October 27, 2009 and November 10, 2009 respectively.
Passengers and Flyer Pass holders who may be affected from these suspended routes may contact Bangkok Airways office or call 1771 for more information.


SAS launches special European Autumn and Winter fares

Fly in comfort to 36 European destinations from 49,000 baht

Scandinavian Airlines in Thailand has launched special prices of 49,000 baht* for a roundtrip Economy Extra and 69,000 baht* for Business Class to 36 northern European cities. The booking period started Tuesday, September 15 and only lasts until October 5. Travel dates can be any time from September 20, 2009 until January 31, 2010, including Christmas and New Year.
The 36 destinations include major urban gateways in Scandinavia, Germany and Belgium such as Berlin, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Hannover, Hamburg, Brussels, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. Also included in the 36 destinations are 26 smaller towns and cities across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
“The inclusion of Christmas and New Year in the offer means that expat families in Thailand can travel home comfortably and affordably at a peak travel period,” said Hakan Olsson, director and general manager for SAS in Southeast Asia. “It also means Thai tourists can fly in style to enjoy the classic winter festivals and hospitality that Scandinavia is famous for.”
Passengers who fly in SAS Economy Extra class enjoy a separate cabin and a range of business benefits such as audio and video on demand, a wider seat, enhanced dining options, and night flights both ways.
Travelers who prefer SAS Business Class can also stretch out in a near-horizontal sleeping seat and enjoy a 26cm personal screen, superior meal service, a unique in-flight buffet bar, and business lounge facilities at the airport.
The EuroBonus points are 150% for Economy Extra and 200% for Business class.
