SERVING THE EASTERN SEABOARD OF THAILAND

Happy Birthday HM Queen Sirikit

Happy Mothers Day to all

The management and staff of the Pattaya Mail, the Pattaya Blatt, the Chiang Mai Mail and Pattaya Mail Television join the Thai people and the many others from around the world to present our loyalty and devotion to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and best wishes for a most Happy Birthday and a long life on the occasion of her 77th birthday, August 12, 2009. We’d also like to say Happy Mothers Day to one and all. Today’s edition of the Pattaya Mail incorporates, with our profound love and respect, a special section courtesy of the Bureau of the Royal Household, showing a glimpse of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s remarkable life. SOCIAL SCENE

In Pattaya City Expat Club news, Stuart Saunders (right), treasurer of the ‘Friends of the PDA’ subgroup, presents Isadore Reaud, head of Corporate Social Responsibility with the PDA, with cheques of over 500,000 baht. These funds were raised by the Friends following an impressive presentation by Mechai Viravaidya to the Pattaya City Expat Club on the work that the PDA is doing to alleviate poverty in rural Thailand. Contributors to the fund included PCEC members and others, and the Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya.
