Buildings on Koh Larn’s Samae Beach demolished
Armed with a court order from the Chonburi Court of Appeal, a demolition crew
directed by Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh and Koh Larn chief investigation
officer Pol Lt Col Jitpon Thongcumvun on June 15 began work on removing illegal
buildings at the island’s Samae Beach area.
The court case concerning the property had been under consideration for almost a
year before judgment was handed down against the five people involved in the
case. As crews began work a few began to protest the court’s decision.

A seminar on the rights, duties and improvement of the quality of life of the
disabled, and organized for village public health volunteers throughout Pattaya
was held at the main conference hall of the Redemptorist Disabled Job Center on
June 22, and opened by Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay.

Four Lions Clubs in Pattaya held a joint installation night at the
Town in Town Hotel on June 2, with new office bearers for their
respective clubs assuming their positions as part of Lions International
District 310C.

Colorful Latino Night works its magic for Mercy Mission
Henry J Bean’s was packed as the Latino Magic Night exploded in color,
music and dancing on June 10, the aim being to raise funds for Mercy
Ministries to purchase property, presently being used as a shelter for
children at risk, with a vision of renovating the building for use by
under-privileged children in Pattaya.

A beautiful ‘Pea Green Boat’
It’s Sunday, the middle of June and at this time of the
year the boat is usually quiet, so “She who must be obeyed”, decided to take
it down to Naklua Shipyard and give it the once over. Not that it has been
really ill mind, but being a woman she thought a touch of paint and a little
bodywork repair would be in order.
