A minibus has been donated to the Vocational Redemptorist School by two Japanese organizations, Nissan Prince Fukushima Sales Ltd and Fukushima Medical University.

Professor Masayuki Hayashi donates the minibus to school director Fr Banchong Chaiyara, with Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh and school administrators looking on.

A brief handing-over ceremony was held on December 23 in which Professor Masayuki Hayashi presented the vehicle along with a cash donation to Fr Banchong Chaiyara, director of the school. Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh was also present.

The minibus was made in Japan and specially modified for use by the disabled. It has a lift for placing wheelchairs into the vehicle and can carry six passengers and wheelchairs. The cost of the minibus is about 5 million yen, or 2 million baht, the vehicle being exempt from taxation because it is a charitable donation.

Fukushima Medical University also collected donation money from Japan totaling 48,577 baht. This sum will be used to fund school activities.

Since everyone loves Christmas, George and Ursula Rothstein could not help but to put on yet another lovely Christmas evening for friends at their residence.

As this is a very close-knit community, the elaborate and sumptuous meal was catered personally by Pascal and Kim Schnyder of Casa Pascal and their very efficient team, while the Sea Breeze friends entertained the guests with their Christmas songs.
