New Year
Happenings
The St. George’s first service of the New Year
will be at the usual time of 3 p.m. followed by a chat over a drink and a
biscuit in the refectory as we return to our normal practice. Outreach - St.
George’s congregation - is primarily a group of English-speaking expats who
come together to worship using the “Prayer Book” form of service. At
meetings after our services we have discussed ways of making the service known
to a wider number of people by posting the time and place and map in the
hotels and places where English-speaking expats regularly meet. If you can
help us reach out more in any way by telling people or offering to distribute
notices and flyers please let us know.
The Soi L.K. Metro Business Owners’ Association is
holding a Street Party on New Year’s Eve in the new L-shaped soi between Soi
Diana and Soi Buakaow. The party will go through the night with many specials.
The main attraction will be the Chang Noi Band who will play sets between 8
p.m. and the early hours of January 1 st
with D.J. music to fill in. The business owners have been working on a common
policy to enhance facilities in the new L-shaped soi and the party will be
their first joint major event. Their slogan is “L.K. Soi Metro Where the
action is”.

Read-a-Thon - A children’s
reading competition will be held celebrating International Children’s Day at
