Friends and fun - what could be better? This year’s Jesters Care For Kids Children’s Fair was once again bigger and better than ever. The action packed day began at 10 a.m. and didn’t let up until 6 p.m., as hundreds of kids, young and old, enjoyed the best day of the year, and all in the name of charity.

1.2mn baht budget adds sparkle to Vegetarian Festival Parade

The best and brightest yet

Pattaya’s annual Vegetarian Festival promises to be the biggest and best yet, according to officials who met last week to discuss plans.

The meeting was held at city hall to update the arrangements for the upcoming Vegetarian Festival Parade. Finalizing all the details were Mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn, deputy mayors Wirawat Khakhai and Ronakit Ekasingh, Sawang Boriboon Foundation representatives, Pattaya police and traffic police officers, and organization committee members.

Police host party to meet the press

Region 2 police commander Lieutenant Colonel Jongrak Juthanont threw a party for the media at the Grand Sole Hotel on August 25, which also saw along with the assembled police officers and press people Mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn, MP for Chonburi province Chanyuth Hengtrakul, and Pattaya City councilors and administrators.

Foundation stone laid for new Children and Family Shelter building

September 1 saw the laying of the foundation stone for the new building at Banglamung Children and Family Shelter. Pattaya International Ladies Club president Sharon Tibbitts, Helle Rants้n, welfare coordinator for the Rayong Ladies Circle, Gerry Carpenter, president of Pattaya Sports Club and PSC charity chairman Bernie Tuppin were amongst those taking part in the ceremony.

Bob Turner held off a late charge by Mick Ramshaw to win his first Trophy. He started the month with a 22 handicap and finished the month with a handicap of 17.
