Her Majesty Queen Sirikit visited the 21st Infantry Regiment of the Royal Armament, Queen’s Guard in Chonburi on August 24 to present military insignia to this year’s graduating class.

All aboard please, Pattaya’s air-con bus service is finally running

After many months of delay, Pattaya’s public bus system is finally running. The Pattaya Beach Bus Company, which has the sub-contract to provide public transport, began services on August 23. City administrators and members of the media boarded the bus as it left city hall for the maiden trip.

In the initial stages, three buses will run the Green route over the next 30 days in order to iron out any potential problems. Following this, a further six buses will begin servicing two other routes.

Bobby Brooks, M.D. of the Pattaya Hill Resort and Spa, recently welcomed Miss Celina Jaitly, former Miss India 2001, and a runner up contestant in the Miss Universe Pageant the same year. Miss Jaitly has filmed 3 movies in Thailand and hopes to do more filming in Pattaya in the future.

Lamun Hanley takes Thai-Ger Line title

It took seven Thai-Ger Line Anniversary tournaments for a lady golfer to earn the title of Thai-Ger line Champion, but lucky 7th it was for Lamun Hanley. Her forty-three stableford points set her four points ahead off the rest of the field to be declared outright winner.
