Eastern Mass Media Association hosts annual National Press Day Awards in Chonburi

Other 2005 award winners include Wittaya Yensabai, Pattaya’s MCOT Radio director for Best News Coverage on the Eastern Seaboard, and Sodawan Boonsirim, Nong Nooch Gardens’ general manager for Best Tourism Promotion. Padungsak Tuntrawornsilp, Eastern Mass Media Association president, also received an award from the governor for his work as association president.

Padungsak Tuntrawornsilp, association president, presided over the event. Many members of the media, government officers and honored guests, including Chonburi Governor Pisit Ketphasook attended. The event’s theme was, “Together as One”.

Chilean Wine Gala Dinner: Salute Santa Carolina

Yet another great Chilean Wine Gala Dinner was held by the Royal Cliff Wine Club at the Grand Ballroom, Royal Cliff Grand and Spa last Friday.

Panga Vathanakul, managing director of the Royal Cliff, invited Pisit Boonchuang, deputy governor of Chonburi, as her guest of honour. The deputy governor obviously enjoyed the exquisite eight-course menu, complemented by some of the world’s best wines out of Santa Carolina and the scintillating company.

The Plaza Pub officially opened their doors for business last week with a grand party. Located behind Tequila Reef, the pub is run and owned by Michael Smith. The new pub is decorated with photos of sporting heroes and action shots from various sports and offers viewing of live events on two 32 inch TV screens.

Another Vintage Year In the Pattaya Am-Am

This years Am-Am was played at Phoenix Golf & Country Club, which arguably is in the best condition for golf in comparison with all the surrounding courses in the area. The condition helped to ensure a very competitive result, that although not as good as 2004 in scoring terms, was nevertheless a much closer affair with the winners, runners up and third place being separated by just one point each.
