Announcements

On November 29 the Royal Dutch Embassy will visit the Dutch community in Pattaya. Representatives will answer questions from the Dutch people here. Time: 11 a.m. at the Dolphin Apartments, Soi 20, South Pattaya Road.

The Pattaya Sports Club Christmas Party is happening yet again. Tickets go on sale at the PSC office from December 1 with the party being held on Wednesday December 15 at the Town in Town Hotel from 7 p.m. Be sure to get your tickets early as numbers are limited. Members 300 baht and guest tickets 600 baht.

The Norwegian Embassy takes pleasure in inviting all Norwegians to a meeting on Friday December 3 from 1 p.m. at Jomtien Garden Hotel, Jomtien Beach Road. This meeting is arranged to give the embassy an opportunity to meet all Norwegians in the area and present its consular staff. Meet Consul Bj๘rn Bjerkaas and Attach้ Halvard Estensen from the Embassy, Consul Stig Vagt-Andersen from the consulate in Pattaya and Hilde Sirnes, the Norwegian Pastor at the Scandinavian Church in Bangkok. Home made waffles will be served this year too.

Clubs

The Dutch Expats Club Pattaya (NVP) meets the last Thursday of every month at Dolphin Apartments, Soi 20, South Pattaya Road. They also have groups for bridge, computers, Thai language, fishing, literature and much more. For more information email: [email protected]

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) holds their Newcomers Coffee the 4th Monday every month, and this month is at 11:30 a.m. at Casa Pascal Restaurant. This is only for newcomers to the area or just newly joined PILC members. This year’s Christmas Luncheon will be at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort on December 7. Art Café Pattaya presents Alan Kirkland-Roath’s latest works of art. There will be a charity silent bid auction on one of the artist’s paintings - art lovers may leave their bid in a sealed envelope. Pattaya Gay Festival

Pattaya Gay Festival - Last Four Days. Funds raised during the year-long festival go to benefit HEARTT2000 and local charities. Activities include: November 29: Jomtien Beach Party – Opposite Tui’s Place on Dongtan Beach Road just after you turn right onto the beach. Starts 8 p.m. Tickets 500 baht, includes buffet, one drink and 150 baht to the charity. November 30: Miss PGF Competition at Boyz, Boyz, Boyz entertainment during the evening, competition starts at 11 p.m. December 1: World Aids Day: Pattaya City Walk for Life, starting at 3 p.m. Team Floats and individuals encouraged to join. At 8.30 p.m. a Gala Dinner at Bruno’s Restaurant, 1,200 baht including donation to the charities. The finale happens December 2 with a Pantomime Street Party in Boyztown.
