What South Pattaya Beach would look like, should the proposed land reclamation happen, began to come into focus last week. Representatives from the Associated Development Consultant Corporation Ltd (ASDECON) presented city hall with their proposal, complete with an artist’s sketch of what South Pattaya Beach could look like in the future.

Sukhumvit to receive traffic light sensors

Pattaya traffic plans hatched at city hall

All major intersections on Sukhumvit Road will have sensors installed within the year, the mayor revealed during a meeting on Pattaya’s traffic problems held at City Hall.

Mayor Niran explained, “The new 25 million baht traffic sensors will be installed at the intersections of North, Central and South Pattaya and Thepprasit roads. The system is computer controlled and allows traffic lights to change according to load.”

This week is Jesters ‘Care For Kids’ Week

The Jesters Children’s Fair is this Sunday, September 12 and Jesters Pub Night is six days later on Saturday, September 18.

All our focus is on the Children’s Fair right now, but we are still keeping an eye on the following weekend, when we stage our 7th annual Jesters Pub Night. This night, besides celebrating a job well done, will be special as it is a night with a theme. Spearheaded by the great emcee team of Nigel Saunders and Neil Smith, Saturday September 18 at Shenanigan’s will be ‘70’s Theme Night’ with the appropriate music, dress and ambience from this inimitable era.

Revered Sri Lankan Buddhist relics on display in Sriracha

Devout Buddhists from Sriracha and Chonburi converged on Sriracha last week to witness the procession of revered relics to be placed on show at the Pacific Park Shopping Center. The show is a celebration of the Buddhist faith, and was part of HM the Queen’s year-long birthday celebrations.
