Clubs

Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will hold its regular Sunday morning meeting at Henry J. Beanís Restaurant at the Amari Orchid Resort, at the north end of Beach Road. As always, an international and Thai buffet breakfast, catered by Amari Orchid Resort, is available from 9.30 a.m. prior to the commencement of the meeting. The meeting starts at 10.30 a.m. and finishes about noon. There is ample parking available in the parking area across from the beach and next to Henry J. Beanís on the left side of Beach Road, just after the turn.

Dining

Talk of Tokyo: A very special guest this month at the Benihana Restaurant is Japanese beef specialist chef Suzuki Toshio, visiting from Benihana Tokyo. He will present the culinary excitement of Teppanyaki Zushi. On chef Suzukiís menu are dishes such as roast beef glazed in teriyaki sauce, sprinkled with gold dust; eel topped with horseradish mayonnaise; and delicacies using Kobe and Matsuzaka beef. The guest chef is also a licensed sake master, and will be making recommendations from a selection of more than twenty fine sakes! Pizza and Pasta Festival - For an Italian evening in lush tropical gardens, Amariís chef presents a wonderful buffet with home style cooking. A full dessert buffet is also available and the house band will entertain you all night long. From 7 p.m. in the tropical garden, 330++ baht per person. The Friday special at Shenanigans Pattaya is ĎPopeye Pieí. An earthenware dish, filled with ground beef in a brown sauce on one side and creamed spinach with mixed vegetables, all covered in mashed potatoes and grilled under the salamander. Served from 12 midday till 9 p.m. for 150 baht inclusive. Shenanigans Pattaya, Pattaya Second Road, in front of the Marriott Resort & Spa.

Head for Soi 6 and the Queen Victoria Inn for Draught Guinness being dished out at only 160 baht per pint or Kilkenny at 180 baht. The Green Bottle Pub is offering special Thai menus featuring delicious duck and chicken dishes from 19 baht and 45 baht from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. throughout the month of July. Plenty of happy hour choices are also available from 1 p.m. till 7 p.m. daily with bottled beer at 50 baht and spirits at 45 baht. There are many vegetarian food offers in Pattaya, but most of them are Thai style or Chinese style; Patís Pies have had numerous requests to expand their range of vegetarian food, so they created Patís homemade vegetarian lasagna and broccoli base veggie pie to add to the already popular giant Yorkshire pudding with stuffing, vegetables, roast & mashed potatoes, baked potatoes with various fillings (bean, cheese & onion and coleslaw) plus, with an advance order of 24 hours notice, they can offer cheese & onion or broccoli & cheese quiche, cheese & onion pastry and much more. To complete the dinner, a special tasting dessert is also included, featuring chocolate mousse, crepes with passion fruit sauce and cream caramel for only 495 baht for the meat & fish lover, for the exotic delight and for the gourmet dinner, which includes a small carafe of house wine for 595 baht. American Wrestling shows are held daily at The Market complex on Pattaya 2nd Road between Soi 5 and Soi 6. Wrestling superstars from around the world will be competing nightly in 3 shows 7 p.m., 8.30 p.m. and 10 p.m. This is the first time live wrestling has come to Pattaya. Khun Nisita, key account manager of the Pacific Cigar Co., is conducting cigar training in preparation for the opening of Divan @ Pattaya located at Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa. Divan @ Pattaya is scheduled to open mid July.
