Clubs

The Pattaya International Ladies Club and the Rayong Ladies Circle are organizing a special coffee morning at the Camillian Centre in Bang Chang, Rayong. The Friday special at Shenanigans Pattaya is now ‘Popeye Pie’. An earthenware dish, filled with ground beef in a brown sauce on one side and creamed spinach with mixed vegetables, all covered in mashed potatoes and grilled under the salamander. Events

The British Chamber of Commerce Thailand is hosting an Eastern Seaboard Golf & Networking afternoon on Friday June 18. Held in cooperation with Exel Thailand there will be a sponsored 9-hole round of golf at the Burapha Golf and Country Club. Non-BCCT members and guests will be charged 500 baht per person for entry to this event and players should arrive at the course by 3.30 p.m. for a shotgun start at 4 p.m. This will be followed by a networking evening at the clubhouse from 6.30 p.m. Exel Thailand is sponsoring all those that wish to play 9 holes at Burapha including caddy fee, golf cart and green fees. AustCham will be holding another Eastern Seaboard Sundowners on Friday June 18 from 6.30 p.m. till 9.30 p.m. at the Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa. Cost: 300 baht members, 600 baht non-members. The Sundowners is an opportunity for members and guests of the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce to meet, network and exchange views in a social environment. Then, the following day, join the volunteers for a morning of English teaching at the Ban Khao Huay Mahad School, Rayong. AustCham Thailand sponsors a number of schools in Rayong province. Part of this support includes the provision of English language classes, which are conducted by volunteers from our community. Volunteers work with small groups of children aged between 5 and 12 years and play simple games and activities, which encourage the children to use the English language. The Chamber provides transportation to and from the schools along with lunch and refreshments. Health and Fitness

Join in a Meditation Group, novice or experienced, come and join this informal get together for anyone interested in experiencing this wonderful form of relaxation to calm the mind. Maggie Counihan and Gill Chrystina Dalton will be facilitating these informal get-togethers every Thursday evening from 6 p.m. at Gill’s house. Yoga for all! Indian by Nature will be holding yoga sessions Tuesday and Thursday at 1 p.m. in their 2nd floor lounge. These sessions are ideal for people wanting an introduction to proper form, and body alignment classes will focus on the basics of yoga with an emphasis on asana, stretching, flexibility, strengthening, proper breathing and relaxation.
