Clubs
Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC)
will hold its regular Sunday morning meeting on May 30 at Henry
J. Bean’s Restaurant at the Amari Orchid Resort, at the north end of Beach
Road. As always, an international and Thai buffet breakfast, catered by Amari
Orchid Resort, is available from 9.30 a.m. prior to the commencement of the
meeting. The meeting starts at 10.30 a.m. and finishes about noon. There is
ample parking available in the parking area across from the beach and next to
Henry J. Bean’s on the left side of Beach Road, just after the turn.
Dining
Starting on Friday June 4 the Friday special at Shenanigans
Pattaya will become the ‘Popeye Pie’. An earthenware
dish, filled with ground beef in a brown sauce on one side and creamed spinach
with mixed vegetables, all covered in mashed potatoes and grilled under the
salamander. Served from 12 midday till 9 p.m. for 150 baht inclusive.

Ripley’s is hosting Thailand’s 3rd Hot Dog Eating
Champion. Dairy Queen, in conjunction with Ripley’s
Believe It or Not! Museum Pattaya and the Royal Garden Plaza,
extend an open invitation to watch the 3rd Annual Thailand Hot Dog Eating
Championship on Saturday, June 5th at the shopping plaza. The winner will
receive a significant cash award and prizes worth up to 100,000 baht. The
spectators will also see “a giant” hot dog and bun created by Dairy Queen.
They will be sold to raise funds to help underprivileged children supported by
