Announcements

The executive committee of the Pattaya Sports Club is pleased to announce that the 2004 Annual General Meeting of the Pattaya Sports Club will be held at the Town-In-Town Hotel, Pattaya Central Road, at 10 a.m. on Saturday June 26. Elective members are encouraged to attend if at all possible. (Please note that only elective members can attend this meeting.) For those elective members unable to attend the meeting, forms of proxy will be available from the PSC Office from 10 a.m. on Monday April 12.

Clubs

Casa Pascal will be the venue for an ‘Asian Flair Brunch’ for the Pattaya International Ladies Club on April 6 from 10.30 a.m. till 2 p.m. The address: 485/4 Moo 10, Second Road. Tel: 038 723 660.

Pattaya City Expats Club meets on Sunday mornings at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant at the Amari Orchid Resort at the north end of Beach Road from 9.30-10.30 a.m. Sunday April 4 Dr. Narin and the orthopedic staff from Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital will be on hand from 9.30 a.m. to offer a special deal on the bone density scan. The discount price will be 600 baht instead of 1,200. This scan is recommended for anyone, especially ladies, over 50. There will also be osteoporosis medications and other related medications available at special prices.

Good news, the increasingly popular Door 2 Door food delivery service has introduced 2 new restaurants to its already extensive menu. Fatties Bar and Restaurant, opposite Big C on 2nd Road, and the Art Café, at the bottom of Soi 6 Naklua, are both very excited about being involved with such a professional delivery service. Starz Diner at the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya has introduced its new concept cuisine, Buffer Dee Light. I-TIM, the International Hotel and Tourism Industry Management School, Bangkok is awarding scholarships to students in need of financial support for the July intake. The scholarships are for I-TIM’s two-year diploma in hotel and tourism management applications are available from I-TIM from the May 8 which is visit I-TIM Dcay. The scholarship for Thai students is valued at 68,000 Thai baht per year and will be awarded in both years of study subject to conditions. The popular Art Classes & Art Factory Workshops for children will continue every Saturday afternoon at the Art Café. Teachers Beau and Marc not only inspire creativity but also teach useful things about nature and the environment.
