Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) provides new semester contribution

Hemaraj’s executive
team and customers of Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong)
organized a contribution of stationary sets and backpacks to 3,951
kindergarten, primary and secondary students attending 21 schools in the
estate’s vicinity. The presentation, made last month, is an annual
project coordinated by Hemaraj Land and Development PLC to show its
commitment to supporting Thai students’ education.
City administration meets to measure quality of education

The city administration recently gathered to discuss
just how adequate the educational curriculum in local schools is and how
it might be improved.
Deputy
Mayor Wattana Jantanawaranont presided over a meeting to evaluate local
education.
The practical meeting, titled “measuring the quality
of education in Zone 12”, was held at the Sriwara Room, Town in Town
Hotel. Pattaya’s deputy mayor Wattana Jantanawaranont presided over the
meeting.
Participants included the director of the local
education office of the Ministry of Interior Tawatchai Rattanyoo and
representatives of municipal schools in zone 12. This educational
jurisdiction covers 8 provinces in the Eastern region.
At the 4-day meeting, from June 18-21, education
promotion committees conceived an operational plan to evaluate and upgrade
education in these municipal schools. Results of the evaluation will be
submitted to the Department of Provincial Administration.

Twenty members of the Association of Filipinos in
Thailand - Eastern Region Chapter, led by Virginia Sorensen, treated the
children at the Pattaya Redemptorist Foundation to a barbeque lunch.

Sorensen, president of the AFT-ERC handed out gifts to the children.
The association also organized a number of fun
activities and games just for the orphans. More than 200 girls and boys
participated in the event and enjoyed playing games, dancing and the
barbeque buffet.
“This is the second time we have organized a barbeque
party for the orphans”, Mrs. Sorensen said. “We would like to help
these kids feel secure and know that they have equal opportunities as
other children with parents.”
