Clubs

The Pattaya Sports Club Association invites all members and their guests to attend the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Administration Building and Clubhouse on Sunday 24th February at 9.a.m. Religious ceremonies will be performed followed by the unveiling of the Pattaya Sports Club sign. PSC invites you to stay on to enjoy the celebrations after, when refreshments and lunch will be served. Please don’t bring flowers or a gift but donations to the PSC Charity Fund for the benefit of underprivileged children in our community will be appreciatively accepted.

Education

The Australian Thai Chamber of Commerce is organizing volunteer English teaching in Kanchanaburi this month. AUA, in association with Burapha University are pleased to announce the forthcoming English Language programs. Sundays only program: Ten weekly lessons commencing Sunday February 24. Sat/Sun program: A six-week program commencing on March 2. Regular program: Six-week Monday through Thursday evening course starting Monday March 4. Placement tests (150 baht) may be booked for these courses now. All AUA English teachers are native speakers. Events

The next luncheon for the Eastern Seaboard Business Club is at noon on Friday 22nd February, sponsored by Vanichwathana Ltd. Meet in the lobby of the Royal Wing for cocktails, followed by a 3-course luncheon at the Le Benjarong Restaurant. The primary objective of the lunch is to network in a relaxed, social atmosphere with fellow English speaking colleagues. Please feel free to bring guests.

AustCham Thailand will hold its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday March 6th commencing at 4:30 p.m. Elections for the new Chamber Committee will also be held at this meeting. Entertainment

On Sunday 24th February there will be a Quiz Competition at 4 p.m. at Shenanigans Pattaya. No ordinary quiz, leaping into the modern day, this will be a computerized quiz with all questions and answers flashed up on the screens round the bar. The Quizmaster for the day will be the infamous Rodney Bain. Teams of 4 with the winning team collecting a keg of Carlsberg beer, a bottle of Champagne and a voucher for four free Shenanigans Carverys, there will be many other consolation prizes of T-shirts, bags, and vouchers for free beer.
