The call is out at St Andrews International School for
children, teachers, mums and dads to join the World Wildlife Fund for
Nature in its efforts to help save the giant panda.
Our
school has organised a sponsored walk around the grounds of the Green
Valley Estate with 3 circuits stretching from 1km to 6km in length. Our
youngest students will take part in a ‘Panda Parade’ and a ‘Spot the
Panda’ competition. Whilst our older students will walk the 6km circuit.
The aim of the walk is for students to raise as much
sponsorship money as they possibly can to support the WWF’s campaign to
prevent the extinction of the giant panda. The giant panda has become
highly endangered, threatened by illegal logging and poachers in its
Chinese habitat.
Our walk takes place on the morning of Friday 22nd
February. Please support our efforts by helping the children raise
sponsorship money. If you would like to support our walk by sending a
donation please contact the school for details on 038 893 716-8.
