The Pattaya Professional Womens Forum will be holding
their next meeting on Friday, March 12 th, at
the Mercure Hotels "Funtasea Fun Pub". A special dance performance
by Nicky & Team of Pattayas dancing school at the Sunbeam Hotel is on the
program, also featuring Christina Betourne. All members, friends and spouses should wear
their dancing shoes, for after the show, Nicky will dance with each of them. The party
afterwards will be at lot of fun, fun, fun at the Funtasea Fun Pub. By the way, the Fun
Pub has a fabulous new trio from the Philippines, the Bits N Pieces, performing
every night.
Die Zugvögel are meeting again for lunch on Thursday, March 18 th at the Moon River Pub. 5 members are having

Theres a rumble in the jungle with Tarzan and Jane on Tuesday,
March 12 th from 19:00 hours onwards at the
tropical jungle - oops gardens of the Amari Orchid Resort. Perhaps Mowgli and his

Rayong Refinery Co. Ltd., SPRC, BHP, Bayer and the Rayong
Ladies Circle are joining together to sponsor the presentation,
"Families on the Move - Understanding Family Culture Shock" by Robin Pascoe, a
successful Canadian author who specializes in writing books for the culture shock series,
namely, "A Wifes Guide" and "A Parents Guide" to being an
expatriate. The event, organized by Twins Rayong Thailand (Information
Network Center for Shell Outpost), will take place in the auditorium at Rayong Refinery on
Wednesday, March 24 th at 10:00 a.m. (doors

The Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel & Training Institute (Dual
Vocational Training) will enroll new students for March 1999. Theres no charge or
service fees to the enrolling students, except for monthly living expanses and social
benefits. Free accommodation for the period of their studies, which will last for a period
of three years, are offered by the hotel. Subjects available: Front Office, Housekeeping,

The Atrium Café at the Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel offers

Pats Pies & Deli has opened a Supper Room, only
2 doors away from their old place (which is still open of course). The operating hours for
this cozy place with the most delicious English food are: Wednesday to Monday from 16:00
hours until 21:30 hours (remember, Tuesday is their day off). The prices at the new dining

The American Red Cross will be holding a Community First
Aid and Safety class on March 31 st
(adult CPR from 1:30 - 6:00 p.m.) and April 21st (child & infant CPR from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m.) & April 28th (first aid and safety from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m.). Since
class size is limited to 8 students, if you wish to enroll please leave a message with

book and certification.
The childbirth education class will be starting very soon at Bangkok
Pattaya Hospital on March 20th, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This program will benefit
mothers in their third trimester of pregnancy, as well as their labor partners. The format
of the class will be presented, in English, in 2 phases during consecutive months. Classes
will be conducted by Anne Barthelemy. The first months class will cover topics
related to labor and delivery, breathing for labor, comfort measures and relaxation
techniques. The second month will address issues related to breast feeding, early infant
care and feeding and will offer a tour of the labor/delivery facility. A heavy towel or a
