The annual Burapa Bike Week will take place from Feb. 15-16 at the Silverlake Vineyard, 20km south of Pattaya.  The event this year will feature a motorcycle “Ride for Peace” through Jomtien and Pattaya, a parade of classic cars, an extreme-sports competition, KR Stunt Thai Championship, a Miss Chopper pageant, booths selling motorcycle and car accessories, tattoo artists, and a paramotorcycle exhibition.  Music for the enjoyment of festival goers will be provided by bands from Thailand and Scandinavia.  More than 10,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected at this year’s event.

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) is holding its 25th Silver Anniversary Gala Dinner Dance on Saturday, February 23, at the Royal Cliff Hotel from 6.30 p.m.  The Club was started 25 years ago, and this event will honor the women who founded PILC in 1987 and is a celebration of all that the Club has achieved in those years.  Tickets cost 2,500 baht and will be on sale at the Annual General Meeting, being held at the Cape Dara Hotel on February 5, and the Coffee Morning at the Amari Orchid on February 19.  Dress code for the event is smart/elegant.  For more information, email presidentpilc @gmail.com or special [email protected].

Clubs and Associations

The next Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) meeting will be on Sunday, Feb. 3.  Everyone is warmly welcome.  The speaker will be Peter Banner, “The Happy Auctioneer,” who will give a behind-the-scenes look at fundraising for charities with celebrities.  The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort).  The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9 to 11 a.m.
