One of the best races of the opening day came in the 12yr male youth category where Kingpai Anglim from the Preechanusat School, Chonburi just edged ahead of Pitchyam Khlaikhum (Dhammasiri School) and Kongkiet Srihaakhum (Maryvit School) to take the gold medal for his team.

Awards and medals were handed out to the winners by Pattaya Mayor Itthipol Kunplume, however the event was more about taking part than gaining the gold and all the swimmers seemed to enjoy a great time.
