Sunday, Feb. 26, Green Valley – Stableford
A Flight
1st Tim Trafford (17) 40pts
2nd Ajit Amin (19) 37pts
3rd Connie Walsh (12) 32pts
B Flight
1st Danny Lloyd (22) 39pts
2nd Michael Stafford (20) 37pts
3rd Marcus Earp (25) 35pts
A cloudless sky, a backing sun and a well prepared course greeted the Lewiinski’s golfers when they turned out to play their regular Sunday bash. There was sufficient numbers to warrant two flights with the cut at 19 and under and it was a day which threw up only a handful of good scores.
Tim Trafford took the laurels in A Flight and the man of the match honors with a fine 40 points and was three clear of the man riding a purple patch, Ajit Amin, leaving Ireland’s favorite son Connie Walsh to close the flight.
Danny Lloyd kept his fine run going as he took the top podium spot in B Flight with a solid 39 points; this was two clear of second placed Michael Stafford while golf manager Marcus Earp tidied up the flight with 35 points.
Monday, Feb. 27, Crystal Bay – Stableford
1st Henk ter Braak (22) 41pts
2nd John Kelly (16) 40pts
3rd Ajit Amin (19) 40pts
4th Kevin McEntee (10) 38pts
A smallish group travelled to one of my favourite courses in the area Crystal Bay. The course as usual was in fine condition, and as expected the weather was very warm. We arrived in plenty of time for our 9 o’clock tee time. Amazingly for this course, the scoring was of a very high standard.
Top man on the day was Henk ter Braak with a rock solid 41 points. Henk was one stroke clear of John Kelly and the man who is always there or there abouts, Ajit Amin. John nicked the count back while Ajit was not looking and this left Kevin McEntee to close the flight on 38 points.
Wednesday, March 1, Treasure Hill – Stableford

1st Tim Trafford (21) 40pts

B Flight
1st Trom Trafford (21) 38pts
2nd Garry Simm (26) 37pts
3rd Michel Beat (30) 34pts
With the weather dry and very warm and the course in fine condition, the scene was set for a great day’s play.
Tim Trafford had the best round and not for the first time this week took the A Flight laurels and the man of the match honors with an excellent 40 points, that’s some going at Treasure Hill. Tim was three clear of pay-widow specialist Ajit Amin, leaving James Drabek to close the flight with a solid even par round.
Tim did not have it all his own way as his wife Trom took the top step of the B Flight podium with a sparkling 38 points, one stroke clear of Garry Simm. Michel Beat tided up the flight on 34 points.
After the presentation at Lewiinski’s, Tim and Trom were last seen heading to Tesco’s.
