Titiya Plucksataporn, a 34-year-old veteran Thai golfer, is aiming for a top 5 finish at this week’s Ladies European Thailand Championship 2017, being held at Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club in Pattaya from 6-9 July.

Titiya is the first Thai golfer to have played on the Ladies European Tour and this year is her 11th season of competition.  She currently ranks no.47 and has revealed her excitement at the prospect of playing in an LET event on home soil for the first time.

“I am very glad to see that Thailand will be the host for another LET tournament after more than 10 years,” said Titiya.  “The players in the tour will experience the beauty of Thailand and find out how good the local players are.  I would like to see such a tournament be organized every year in order to encourage Thais to step into golf.  As for myself, I am ready to compete and hope to finish in the top 5.”

Titiya’s best finish on the tour came in 2015 when she placed seventh at the Turkish Airlines Open.

The Ladies European Thailand Championship is being broadcast live through the LET media platform covering 573 million households worldwide and domestic broadcasting is via True Sport 3 HD of True Visions from 13.00-16.00 hrs.  Admission tickets are available at the ticket booth near public entrance of Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club at 100THB/person/day.  There is free entry for spectators under 18 years and over 60 years old.
