Re-branding is good for your game

The world recently lost that music enigma, Prince, a brilliant musician also famously known for re-branding himself as some sort of symbol, The Artist formerly known as Prince.

In a similar bold move to enhance his legendary status, the man formerly known as The Biss has re-branded himself as Muhammad Biss from the ‘Boro Brotherhood.  Resplendent with a goatee that any Gulf state oil minister would be proud of, Muhammad has thus become our first IS (International Superstar) affiliated player.  Emerald golf course attracts all sorts it seems.

On to the golf and the stableford competition winner today was The Quiet Man, winning by 1 point over Muhammad Biss.

Near-pin today was a bust, none of the players managing to stay on the par 3, 15th hole.

The big winner in the skins was The Quiet Man with 7, Muhammad Biss chipped with 5 and also took the rollover from last week and there were 3 each to Stitches Morgan and Russell “He’s a Victorian.”

Passport Control has decided to move back to somewhere in Australia (still working on that one) so we had a boisterous, boozy send-off for him at the Rompho bars on Saturday.  We will also lose Foos yer Doos soon, heading back to The Gulf but we will get back Beaker Larsen from the other gulf, the one between Mehico and Yankeeland.

Emerald, like all courses, is in dire need of some heavy rains so hopefully the recent Songkran festivities will herald the arrival of some decent drenchings.
