More than 300 Pattaya students plus trainers and city officials worked up a sweat as the city hosted its annual Sports Clinic Training Camp earlier this month.
City Councilman Praiwan Arromchuen, chairman of the Sports & Recreational Committee, opened the April 1-10 event at the Pattaya Youth Sports Center on Thepprasit Road, which was aimed at improving the sporting skills of students and also steer them clear of using drugs or getting into mischief in their spare time.
Over 300 children from local Pattaya schools attended the sports training camp.
Organizations supporting the camp included the Volleyball Association of Thailand and Rattan Ball Association of Thailand, offering lessons and competitions for students from Pattaya schools 2, 7 and 9.
Sports included football, volleyball and rattan ball for youths and participants were encouraged to continue playing after the camp to improve their skills and fitness.
