Monday, May 16, Crystal Bay B & C – Stableford

1st Marie Rowles (20) 35pts

2nd Takeshi Hakozaki (16) 33pts

3rd Graham Buckingham (24) 32pts

4th Mick Coghlan (21) 31pts

Marie Rowles.

Crystal Bay was the game on Monday and after a fast check-in we were off C1 15 minutes early under overcast skies and with a hint of rain, which we got 6 holes into the round, a full 40 minutes worth.

The course was dry and there were concerns about safety, with many trees having dead branches ready to fall without notice and the nice new sprinkler boxes having the wires hanging out, ready to give someone a jolt during the call of nature.

Back in the clubhouse it was goodbye to Marie and Lionel Rowles, on their way back to Sydney.  Marie departed in style and was the winner today with 35 points while Takeshi Hakozaki took second place with 33.  Graham Buckingham and Mick Coghlan filled the minor podium positions in third and fourth respectively.

Thursday, May 19, Plutaluang – Stableford

1st Philip Berra (22) 36pts

2nd Tony Lecce (18) 30pts

The Navy course at Plutaluang provided Thursday’s challenge on a sunny day, with just a brief 20 minute shower midway through the back nine holes.  The course was in fine condition with fast greens.

Philip Berra was the clear winner on the day with an even par 36 points while Tony Lecce rolled in six points behind in second spot.
