Our normal Friday fixture here at Eastern Star was reorganized this week to a Monday as all of our golfers were playing in the annual I.P.G.C. Golf Championship at Khao Kheow on Wednesday and Friday.  There were still ten groups out with the cut in three divisions set at 8-15, 16-19 and 20+ in division 3.

Teddy Lodge returned the best score of the day, winning division 1 with 38 points.  Mikael Andersson took second on 35 points and Gerald Dooley was third with 34.

Paul Butler won division 2 with 34 points, one ahead of Harry Vincenzi in second while Tony Thorne beat the telephone box boy 17/16 on a back nine count back as they both came in with 32 points each.

Teddy’s brother Ger topped division 3 standings with 33 points and Rudi Schaefer beat Rick Assi on count back for second after they both scored 32s.

Near pins went to (Div 1) Bill Bertram, Gerald Dooley (2) and Barney Sheedy, and (Div 2) Ger Lodge, Finn Olsen, Rudi Schaefer and Barry Stirling.

Gerald Dooley birdied the 17th and Barney Sheedy the 13th to share the ‘2’s pot in division 1 while in division 2 there are now three major rollovers to Eastern Star next Friday.
