Monday, Oct. 9, Burapha – Stableford

At last, a round of golf with no rain!  However, the rough (which was very rough) started at the very edge of the fairways and these were exceptionally narrow, which meant that accuracy of the tee was at a premium.

Friday, Oct. 13, Green Valley – Stableford

We had a group of 33 Outbackers today at Green Valley on a hot, humid day with threatening clouds looming on the horizon.  The last 4-ball had played their tee-shots on the 3rd when the heavens opened.  Dashing for the nearest stop we were held up for over an hour and eventually finishing after being on the course for over 5 hours.

Despite the stormy intervention, the scoring was good today.

Steve Mann edged Paul Hack on count-back for top spot in division 1, both finishing with 41 points each.  Dave Stockman was a whisker away in third place with 40 and Sel Wagner won another count-back on 39 points over Paul Smith to take fourth.

B Flight was led in by Roy Steinbach with 40 points, one ahead of William Mackey in second.  Sugar Ray Handford secured third with 37 points on his card. Pierre Zbinden placed fourth on a count-back over David Davies, both with 36 points.
