Monday, Nov. 28, Burapha – Stableford

Playing the more difficult C & D course, scores are usually lower than the alternate A & B layouts, and coming in 5th place with 34 points was Maurice Copan.  One step up on the podium in 4th place was Kim Danboise, continuing his good form with another solid round of 35 points.  Paul Pedelty scored an excellent 20 points on the back nine to beat Kim on count back for 3rd place while Angus Neilson is making the best of his holiday and playing some good golf as well, with a good 36 points to take 2nd.  The play of the day goes to Raivo Velsberg who scored a brilliant 78 gross which gave him 39 points. Good going on some tricky greens Reivo!

Tuesday, Nov. 29, Laem Chabang – Stableford

With high season prices in full force, there are not a lot of our regular weekday golfers that play Laem Chabang (as can be expected).  Nonetheless, a lot of our visiting guests want the opportunity and so we have made arrangements for the whole of the high season to keep playing here on a Tuesday.

Roy Johan Steinbach, our friend from the North Pole, makes the best of Pattaya’s golf and he played a non-spectacular but prize winning round of 30 points for 3rd place today.  Playing from the blue tees, Angus Neilson continuedf his good for and came in with 32 points for 2nd place.  Paul Pedelty with a stunning 37 points beat everyone by a mile to win the day comfortably.  Well done Paul!

Wednesday, Nov. 30, Pattana – Stableford

This was the last round of the low season special of THB 1,950 all in at Pattana, and with the new arrangement we have with them, the price will be THB 1,200 for GF from December, with carts not mandatory.

With a relatively small field today (and minus a famous Outbacker who on this occasion threw his dummy out of the cot and went home before teeing off), it was Brad Jordison who got 34 points for 3rd place.  In 2nd place was Peter Nixon, who is starting to make a move after having been dormant for a few months and today he scored a great 36 points.  Playing partner (and partner in crime) David Atkinson played some real good golf off his dodgy handicap to win the day with 38 points.

Friday, Dec. 2, Green Valley – Stableford

With 11 groups slogging it out there today, it was a good thing that we had pretty cool weather as the last groups only teed off at about 10:30am.

Since we haven’t had a lot of rain in the last week or two, our rule on the day was to play the ball as it lied.  However, due to overwatering it was quite soggy and very wet around the greens, which themselves were in fantastic condition and playing at medium speed.

With a large field we had 5 prize places in each of the two divisions.  In the B division, Darunee Thawacharee scored a good 32 points to win on count back and take 5th place.  John player had 34 points for 4th while Bill Peach kept up his good form with another good round of 37 points for 3rd.  Eddie Beilby had a great round again today with 39 points, just losing on count back to the day’s winner Eng (Sunanta) Cotterell.

In the A division, things were even more fiercely contested, with John Stafford on 36 points just losing out to Pat Regan on count back for 4th.  Brad Jordison’s 39 points was just good enough for 3rd place after being edged out on count back by Colin Goon who played a fantastic gross 74.  However, even that amazing score was surpassed, with Wayne Cottrell returning 40 points to top the leaderboard and make it husband and wife number 1 in both divisions!
