1st Roger Emery (13) 33pts

2nd Thierry Petrement (11) 33pts

3rd Peter Cook (12) 33pts

B Flight

1st Jim Sullivan (18) 38pts

2nd Gerard Lambert (28) 36pts

3rd Lou Szigligeti (19) 32pts

On what was a rare visit to Plutaluang by the Lewiinski’s group it was B Flight’s Jim Sullivan who took the top podium spot and he was also the only player to better his handicap on the day with a sparkling 38 points.

Jim Elphick.

Gerard Lambert followed Roger up the podium steps with a very good even par round and it took a count back to separate Lou ‘Zig-zag’ and ‘Sheriff’ Marcus Earp, both with 32-point returns and it was Lou who outgunned Marcus.

A Flight saw a right battle with three players carding 33 points.  Third place went to Peter Cook, in second place was everybody’s friend nice guy Thierry Petrement and it was no surprise to anyone that the winner was Roger Emery.

Wednesday, Dec. 9, Khao Kheow – Stableford

1st Robert Smith (12) 41pts

2nd Peter Henshaw (20) 37pts

3rd John O’Neil (17) 36pts

A small but high quality field took to the road to play the very popular Khao Kheow and as always the course was in excellent condition while the weather was mad hot and humid.

Robert Smith amassed an amazing 41 points to totally destroy the field, hitting the ball long and straight.  Standing on the second podium step was Irishman Peter ‘the silver surfer’ Henshaw with a solid 37 points and Peter’s compatriot John O’Neil closed the flight podium with a creditable even par round.

Friday, Dec. 11, Parichat – Stableford

A Flight

1st Mike Farmaet (12) 37pts

2nd Thierry Petrement (11) 29pts

3rd Colin Smith (12) 29pts

B Flight

1st Jim Elphick (26) 40pts

2nd Lambert (28) 38pts

3rd Ian Jones (28) 35pts

The ever-improving Parichat course hosted the final outing of the week, which saw a few players fall by the wayside.  Jimmy ‘two shots’ Elphick took the honours in B Flight and the man of the match award with a stunning 40 point effort.  Jim was two clear of a Mr. Lambert (his first name is not on the results sheet) who took the flight silver.  Pay window specialist Ian Jones closed the flight with a creditable 35 points.

A Flight was the domain of Mike Farmaet who carded a solid 37 points for the win.  The minor flight places needed a count back to separate nice guy Thierry Petrement and Colin Smith who were both tied on 29 points, the scales of justice tipping in Thierry’s favour.
