Sunday, Sept. 17, Green Valley – Stableford

A Flight

1st Mick Beresford (18) 41pts

2nd Martin Zimmerman (16) 35pts

3rd Mark Wood (10) 35pts

B Flight

1st Pat Reagan (19) 41pts

2nd Jim Bell (20) 40pts

3rd Iain Jones (27) 38pts

Near Pins: Jim Bell, Peter Terry.

Twenty players left the TPL to travel to Green Valley to play our usual Sunday knock under dark and rain filled clouds, but the rain did not materialize, and the weather remained hot and dry.

Two flights were required and Mickey ‘nine holes’ Beresford took the top spot in A flight with a co-man of the match 41-point display.  Mickey was six strokes clear of Martin Zimmerman and Mark Wood, both with 35 points and the ensuing count-back dictated that they ascend the podium in that order.

B Flight belonged to County Dublin’s Pat Reagan with his equal man of the match 41-point performance, and he needed every one of them as Jimmy ‘AK-47’ Bell was just one stroke behind him.  This left Iain Jones to close the flight with a very impressive 38 points.

Tuesday, Sept. 19, Green Valley – Stableford

1st Eddy Beilby (23) 42pts

2nd Niall Stuart (36) 40pts

3rd Barry Copestake (24) 36pts

Not many early bird TPL players got up this morning to return to our home course Green Valley to play a stableford comp.

Eddy ‘the eagle’ Beilby took the single flight honours with a splendid 42 points and was two strokes clear of Aussie rising star Niall Stuart, who boldly declared he would play off a new 36 handicap and then went out and blasted 40 points, with two no scoring holes on his card.  This left Barry ‘the Boot’ Copestake to close the flight with an even par round.
