The Pattaya Social Development Office and the Human Help Network Thailand Drop-In Center mobile team hosted a day of child protection card games to train Marbpradu students to spot and fend off human trafficking and others seeking to exploit them.

The main theme of the day was to teach children that they own their bodies and to instruct them about their personal areas where they should never let anyone touch. Children should always be aware, as sexual abuse can happen anywhere, in schools, department stores, or even in their home.

The child protection card game gives kids knowledge about preventing abduction and exploitation through questions and answers. Youths also learn survival skills in cases of emergencies or when faced with adversity.

After the card game, children were shown a video about a daughter who was sexually abused by family members. They were also shown photos of bodies and body parts that children should know about where it’s prohibited for anyone to touch, including friends, family members or strangers. They were helped to put their hands on body parts shown in the photos marked green for safe and red unsafe.
