PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya is preparing to host the PATTAYA CITY & BGC POWERBOAT GRAND PRIX 2026 on November 14–15, bringing two days of international powerboat racing to Jomtien Beach in front of The Now Hotel.
Pattaya Deputy Mayor Krisana Boonsawat chaired a preparatory meeting at City Hall on November 6, attended by city councilors, municipal officials and representatives of relevant agencies. Pattaya Jet Ski Club and the Singha Watersports team presented the proposed competition arrangements.
The city is coordinating preparations covering the venue, public facilities, electricity and lighting, mobile toilets, cleanliness, security, emergency medical services and event promotion. The measures are intended to ensure the competition runs smoothly and safely.
Krisana placed particular emphasis on safety, instructing organizers to station marine rescue boats at the competition area to respond to emergencies and protect athletes. He also assigned the Natural Resources and Environment Office to clean and screen the beach sand to remove potentially dangerous debris, including pieces of wood and broken glass.
The event is organized by Pattaya City in cooperation with Pattaya Jet Ski Club and Singha Watersports to promote tourism, support the local economy and showcase Pattaya’s role as a Sports City and destination for sports tourism. Visitors are invited to watch the races at Jomtien Beach on November 14–15.
