A crane’s stabilizing supports occupy the pavement along North Pattaya Road, prompting municipal officers to take enforcement action.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya municipal officers have taken action against a crane operator for placing stabilizing supports on a public pavement along North Pattaya Road, obstructing pedestrian access and potentially damaging the walkway, November 6.

The city’s municipal enforcement officers inspected the site and issued an arrest report before forwarding the case for a fine at the Pattaya Municipal Enforcement Centre. Officials warned that placing heavy crane stabilizers on pavements can cause cracks, structural damage and subsidence. Such obstructions also force pedestrians to navigate around equipment, potentially putting them at risk.

Pattaya City urged businesses and contractors to respect public walkways and avoid using pedestrian areas for construction equipment. Residents who encounter similar obstructions can report them through the city’s 1337 hotline.
