BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will launch the “100 Baht, Travel Across Thailand” campaign on December 15, 2026, offering special travel deals to promote weekday tourism and support local economies. On November 1, 2026, Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Persvivatana stated that the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s policy to boost tourism revenue, especially in emerging destinations and local communities.
TAT is working with over 170 private-sector operators, including accommodation providers, restaurants, tourist attractions, wellness businesses, and related services. The campaign includes two components: special discounts and privileges from participating businesses, and online “SHOCK DEALS” with travel vouchers for 100 baht.
Voucher sales will occur on Tuesdays in eight rounds from December 15, 2026, to February 9, 2027. Vouchers must be redeemed for travel or services from Monday to Thursday to encourage weekday spending. The initiative aims to increase weekday visitors, generate steady revenue for tourism operators, and spread spending across restaurants, community businesses, transportation services, and small enterprises.
The spokesperson clarified that the 100-baht price applies only to SHOCK DEALS vouchers, not all tourism products or services, and is not a cash handout. Travelers are advised to review redemption dates, eligible services, and individual operators’ conditions before purchasing. TAT will provide further participation details through official channels. Interested operators may contact the LINE Official Account @weekday100. (NNT)
