TAK, Thailand – The Royal Thai Air Force deployed two F-16 fighter jets on an aerial patrol over Mae Sot district in Tak province on November 1, as part of ongoing air security monitoring along the Thai-Myanmar border. The Rajamanu Task Force relayed an announcement from the Air Force that the mission began at approximately 5pm, with the two aircraft operating over Mae Sot and nearby areas to monitor the air security situation.
Residents in the border area and surrounding communities were advised that they might hear unusually loud aircraft noise during the operation. The announcement was issued in advance to prevent misunderstanding and unnecessary alarm. The Air Force asked the public to remain calm and said the patrol was part of its continuing responsibilities to monitor the situation, protect public safety and maintain national security.
