PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City has asked boat operators to move vessels away from the designated passenger embarkation and disembarkation area at Bali Hai Pier to make way for construction of a new floating pontoon. The request was announced on October 22 by Pattaya City’s Marine Disaster Prevention Division. The construction work is being carried out by a contractor appointed by Pattaya City.
Boat operators have been asked to clear the affected area from October 22 onwards and keep it free until construction is completed. The city said cooperation would help the work proceed more quickly and allow the area to be returned to public use as soon as possible. Pattaya City apologized for the inconvenience and asked all affected operators to follow the notice and move their boats out of the marked construction zone.
