PATTAYA, Thailand – Families and friends are warmly invited to gather at Alibaba Tandoori & Curry Restaurant on October 19, from noon to 4 p.m., for a special Navami Havan & Prasad celebration honouring Maa Durga.
Extending the invitation, Naini Grover welcomes guests to share an afternoon of devotion, fellowship and thanksgiving, joining in the sacred fire ceremony and receiving Navami Prasad.
Navami marks the ninth day of Navratri, the Hindu festival honouring the divine feminine through worship of Goddess Durga and her manifestations. It is a time for prayer and reflection, celebrating spiritual strength and the triumph of good over evil.
Central to the occasion is the havan, a sacred ritual in which offerings are placed into a ceremonial fire while mantras are recited. Devotees seek the goddess’s blessings for peace, protection, happiness and prosperity. The ceremony holds particular significance during the closing days of Navratri.
Guests will also receive prasad, food offered to the deity and then shared as a blessing. This cherished tradition brings people together in a spirit of gratitude and generosity.
The gathering offers an opportunity to celebrate faith, renew friendships and share a meaningful cultural tradition with family and the wider community.
