PATTAYA, Thailand – Allan Cassin and Bob Edwards claimed the honours as wet conditions tested MyBar Golf Society players at Mountain Shadow and Greenwood.

At Mountain Shadow on Tuesday, October 13, soft fairways offered little roll, while thick, sticky rough made scoring difficult. A steady breeze kept conditions pleasant, with rain holding off until the journey home.

Cassin (13) drew on his experience to win with 32 Stableford points, edging Edwards (11) by one point. Maurice Paradis collected the wooden spoon. Near-pin honours went to Edwards, Seamus O’Connor and Paradis.

Greenwood hosted 13 players on Thursday, October 15, with Patrick Devereux welcomed back for the A and B nines. Sunshine and a cooling breeze provided an enjoyable day, although the wet course again demanded plenty of effort.

Edwards (11) improved on Tuesday’s runner-up finish to win with 35 points. Paradis (19) bounced back to take second with 33 points, while Neil Harvey, hampered by an injured thumb, received the wooden spoon. Cassin and Edwards claimed the near pins.
