BANGKOK, Thailand – The Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage, ICONSIAM and partner organisations are holding the 29th “In Remembrance of the Princess Mother” event to commemorate the birth anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother, on October 21.

The event pays tribute to Her Royal Highness’s enduring contributions to the Thai people through royal initiatives that have helped communities become self-reliant and improve their quality of life. Through Her kindness, humility, and genuine concern for people’s well-being, Her Royal Highness earned the affectionate titles “Somdet Ya,” meaning the Princess Mother, and “Mae Fah Luang,” or “Royal Mother from the Sky,” reflecting the deep respect and gratitude felt by the Thai people.

Running from October 15 to 18, 2026, at Charoen Nakhon Hall on the M Floor of ICONSIAM, the event features an exhibition showcasing Her Royal Highness’s initiatives and projects, which have been carried out from 1972 to the present day.

Visitors can also explore DoiTung Lifestyle and DoiTung Everyday, featuring textiles and handicrafts that reflect local craftsmanship, as well as enjoy refreshments at DoiTung Café. A hands-on workshop will give participants the opportunity to experience making Tung Yai, also known as Tung Dok Khem, a traditional Lanna decorative banner craft. (NNT)
