PHUKET, Thailand – Ten Ukrainian children will visit Phuket this November as young ambassadors of their culture under a new initiative bringing together cultural exchange, business cooperation and care for children.
Organised by the Thai-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (TUAC) with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand, the Thai-Ukrainian Cooperation Programme: Culture. Business. Humanity. invites companies and individuals to help make this meaningful journey possible.
Accompanied by two adults, the children will spend ten days on the island, sharing creative experiences with local children. Activities include a joint drawing day and a film-camera project titled “Thailand through children’s eyes”, allowing the young visitors to capture their own impressions of the country. For children coming from a country at war, the visit also offers something precious: time by the sea, moments of calm and opportunities to make new friends.
TUAC President Vadym Bukhkalov, founder of VillaCarte Group, and TUAC Vice-President Dr Paul Andrew Crosio, Partner at VillaCarte Holding, have joined as anchor sponsors and are encouraging others to participate.
“A business community is strong when it knows how to share,” the anchor sponsors said in their appeal. “This programme brings together what the Chamber stands for: culture, business ties and care for children, Ukrainian and Thai alike. We have already joined as anchor sponsors, and we invite companies from Thailand, Ukraine and beyond to sponsor the events alongside us.”
The programme connects three strands: cultural activities involving Ukrainian and Thai children; business relationships supported by the Chamber’s network and the Embassy; and humanitarian support for children from both countries.
