PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City is accelerating repairs to worn and damaged children’s playground equipment at Lan Pho Naklua Public Park and plans to install an additional set of play equipment to provide more recreational space for local families. Deputy Mayor Wutthisak Rermkijakarn and Mayor’s working team members inspected the playground on October 15. Municipal officials and relevant department staff joined the visit to report on the condition of the facilities.

The initial inspection found that some playground equipment had deteriorated and become damaged through prolonged use. Wutthisak instructed the responsible officials to speed up repairs to the existing structures, ensuring they are stable, sturdy and safe for children before returning them to service. Pattaya also plans to install one additional set of playground equipment at the rear of the park. The new facilities are intended to expand the area available for children to play, exercise and take part in activities together.

Officials reported that other areas of Lan Pho Naklua Public Park remain in good condition. The city will carry out the repairs alongside preparations for the new equipment, aiming to complete both as soon as possible. The improvements form part of Pattaya’s efforts to maintain safer public spaces and provide children, young people and residents with better facilities for recreation and family activities.

Lan Pho Naklua Public Park is set for playground upgrades, with Pattaya prioritizing safer equipment and more space for children and families to enjoy outdoor activities together.
