PATTAYA, Thailand – A 32-year-old Russian man was arrested in Pattaya on October 14 for overstaying his permission to stay in Thailand by 568 days. Chonburi Immigration officers apprehended the man at around 1pm during an inspection along Soi Thappraya 12.
The operation was led by Pol Capt Jittiya Phiphitkun, deputy inspector of Chonburi Immigration, under the supervision of senior immigration officers conducting checks for foreigners violating Thai immigration laws. The man was charged with entering and remaining in the kingdom after his permission to stay had expired. He was handed over to Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings.
