PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Tourist Police are reinforcing a clear message for everyone travelling by sea: no life jacket, no boat trip. Officers are helping passengers put on life jackets before boarding boats to Koh Larn and explaining why the safety equipment must be worn throughout the journey. The message applies to everyone, adults and children alike, regardless of the time of day or whether the sea appears calm or rough.
A calm sea does not guarantee a safe journey, and conditions can change quickly. Wearing a properly fitted life jacket can be critical if a passenger falls overboard or a boat encounters trouble.
Boat operators also have a responsibility to put passenger safety first by ensuring life jackets are available and worn in accordance with applicable safety requirements. Operators who fail to comply may face penalties under the relevant laws.

The message is simple: every passenger, every journey, every sea condition — wear a life jacket. Safety must never be optional when travelling between Pattaya and Koh Larn. For assistance or emergencies, contact the Tourist Police hotline at 1155.
