Thailand and Airbus explore major aviation and green energy cooperation

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul meets Airbus Executive Vice President Wouter van Wersch to discuss aviation, space technology and sustainable energy cooperation.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul welcomed Executive Vice President for International Affairs of Airbus, Wouter van Wersch, to discuss cooperation between Thailand and Airbus. The cooperation spans the aviation industry, space technology, human resource development, and green energy, with a focus on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) produced partly from Thai agricultural products. Airbus plans to establish a Center of Excellence in Thailand to develop the skills of Thailand’s aviation workforce and strengthen the aviation industry. It also aims to foster cooperation with Thai Airways to help position Thailand as a regional aviation hub. (PRD)
