PATTAYA, Thailand – A motorcycle rider was injured after his bike collided with a pedestrian near Big Market on Jomtien Beach Road on October 2, prompting Pattaya officials and rescue workers to assist at the scene. Jomtien municipal officers and Pattaya special affairs officials responded to the incident near the market and helped manage the area while rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon provided first aid to the injured rider. The rider was later taken to Pattaya Bhattamakun Hospital for further medical treatment.
The incident occurred on a busy stretch of Jomtien Beach Road, where motorcycles and other vehicles regularly share the road with pedestrians. Local officials reminded road users to exercise caution, particularly in areas with heavy traffic and pedestrian activity. The incident also highlights concerns over risky riding behavior, including speeding, overtaking, crossing or straddling lanes and failing to signal when changing direction. Authorities advised both motorists and pedestrians to remain alert and follow traffic rules to reduce the risk of further accidents.
